HOW TO USE
DANCE STUDIO PRO
Dance Studio Pro is the app you will use to take roll for all of your classes, track your hours, and access your Student Evaluation Form. You can download this app to your phone, or use the iPad at the studio (if available).
STUDENT EVALUATION FORM
As mentioned in the DSP video and guide, we have a student evaluation form that must be filled out at the end of every class. This form provides important data that helps us, as a non-profit, demonstrate growth and apply for grants and funding—so please make sure you’re completing it consistently. We recommend filling it out immediately after class while the information is still fresh.
NOTE:
For group classes, you only need to fill out one form for the entire group. You’ll be asked to note how many students were in attendance, so please keep that number in mind.
For weekly 1:1 classes, you’ll need to submit a separate form for each individual student.

HOW TO USE HOMEBASE
Homebase is the app we’ll use for communication between teachers and the admin team, as well as for scheduling and time-off requests. Please make sure you have the app on your phone or, if using the desktop version, check it regularly. Learn how to use the different functions of the app in the video below!
HOW TO USE GOOGLE CALENDAR & SLACK
While we of course communicate via email for certain things, two other applications that we use in addition are Google Calendar and Slack. Google Calendar is primarily used for scheduling, of course, and Slack is used for finding sub-coverage, event help, and other small updates. While these are more common applications unlike Dance Studio Pro, there are some specific features that we ask you to use.
OUR COLORADO LOCATIONS
CHARLES WHITLOCK RECREATION CENTER
The Charles Whitlock Rec Center, located in Lakewood, is one of the first locations where our patented floor was installed. Take a tour of the space to see how to unlock the studio, operate the sound system, and where we store all of our fun props available for your use!
COLORADO MOVEMENT LAB
Colorado Movement Lab, located in Westminster, is a recent addition to our list of studios. Not only have we had our floor installed, but a collaboration is in the works to bring Feel the Beat classes to a wider audience!
PROTOCOL & EXPECTATIONS
Professional conduct and dress code are expected of employees when interacting with children and parents, this includes distraction-free attire for better communication while signing. It is also important to accurately document your work and volunteer hours using specific tools, and outline compensation policies and procedures for absences and downtime activities. The video aims to ensure a professional and efficient environment for both staff and students.

MANDATORY REPORTER TRAINING
This new annual training is required for all teachers, especially those working with young students. Please plan out an additional 2 hours for this training. You will receive paid admin time for completing it, so make sure to log those hours!
