Dance for those with Blindness or Visual Accessibility Needs

How Our Program is Accessible

Our classes utilize verbal description to explore various dance styles, fostering a deep connection with music. In this supportive and inclusive environment, participants build spatial awareness, confidence, and strength, regardless of their level of experience. We believe that dance is a universal language, and our program aims to empower individuals by providing a space where everyone can express themselves, connect with others, and experience the joy of movement.

How We Teach for You:

  • Classes are taught using verbal description

  • We provide assistance so you can have someone demonstrate the moves right next to you or help with adjustments if needed

  • Sound accessible flooring so you can feel the music, when you can feel the music more which means the music volume can be played lower to allow you to hear instruction

  • Use of microphones if needed to make instruction more clear

  • Light sensitive glasses for those who need it

  • Option to email or call for registration help so you don’t have to go through the site if it’s not accessible for you
